Our daughter implies that, every time she tries something new, we have already tired it, years ago. So, yes, for about seven years we ran a bee farm. Of course, we had to open a store to sell our honey and other gifts. That led to giving tours and doing talks for school groups. We noticed that no-one seemed to have published a book about honeybees that explained what children wanted to know. Our book, of course, starts with a bee sting!

Someone told us we that should start publishing in Spanish. Ruth had to re-learn the language, we had to enlist the help of our Mexican friend, our friend in Phoenix who was taking Spanish, and some USDA people. In the end, here is the same book, in Spanish.
